ACTION

The first movement to form was Families Need Fathers in 1974. The reason FNF was formed was the courts were actively preventing a proper relationship developing between the father and his children after divorce.

Robbed of the situation where he saw his children daily when married one would have expected courts would ensure that daily situation would be replicated in the form of access. They did not and fathers were being restricted to weekly access amounting to perhaps just a few hours. In addition where such access was ordered mothers began interfering with the arrangement to prevent the father seeing his children. When brought to the attention of a court nothing was done about it.

This situation has been a running sore over the last 30 years.  FNF essentially passive organization is still in existence today continuing to offer legal advice to  affected fathers. Regrettably they have not brought about any major improvement to the situation fathers have faced since 1974. However a change in the anti father culture has begun and that has been brought about by the formation of Fathers For Justice (F4J) in late 2002.
